Garage Sale Signs | Paint later, a painter's blog.

These paintings are based on my continued obsession of signs within the landscape. In this series of works I have taken inspiration from the ever-increasing outbreak of Garage Sale signs in my local area at the time. Poles in prized positions at crossroads become thick with the detritus of desperate vendors seeking attention. Subtle grey-greens of aged telephone poles repeatedly pockmarked with rusty nails together with scrappy pieces of tape bandages have provided the material for these semi-abstractions.
