Out Le-Witted

After visiting the Kaldor Galleries at AGNSW last week, Sol Le Witt has once more been on my mind. His work reminds me of my phone doodles in construction, patterns within boxes, boxes as patterns. The impact of his work drew me to pull out an old catalogue from the NGA – I read it and it was the right time. Reading about artists at certain times during your practise can trigger new paths, obviously I was unaffected previously but realised there was something there. This time it was reading his work Autobiography and seeing his work) Wall Drawing #338 (1971) at AGNSW.that kicked in. Once again new ideas for new works but I know I need to complete Windang before I go any further.
